How To Avoid Green Teeth On St. Pattys Day!

Everyone loves to wear green on St. Patty’s Day, but not everyone loves to wear it on their teeth! What most people don’t realize is when they CELEBRATE WITH GREEN, their teeth can turn a shade they’ve never seen!

To avoid dying your teeth green this year, try to stay away from any food or beverage that has food coloring added to it. Food coloring is a strong dye, which means it can stain your teeth. Try to choose the natural green colored foods and beverages, if at all possible this year.

Here are some tips to prevent green teeth on St. Patty’s Day this year:

  • Drink through a straw to avoid direct contact with your teeth.

  • At the end of the night, chew a piece of sugar-free gum. The increase of saliva will work to fight against cavities.

  • Most importantly, do not go to bed without brushing your teeth. Make sure to brush thoroughly and rinse your mouth with mouthwash.

Follow these simple steps to ensure you don’t wake up with green teeth.

However, if you can’t resist the call of the “Green Irish Fun” then by all means celebrate with green! When the celebration is over Tampa Bay Smile Maker’s will be here for you to whiten that beautiful smile!
